Artificial intelligence, everyone talks about it, but who really understands what it is? What it can or cannot do? How it already affects our lives?
To be trained is to be active in the face of this technological advance, to understand its assets,
identify the opportunities it offers but also the challenges it represents.
UNDERSTAND AI
A FRENCH PROJECT FROM
The
objective?
To train at least 500,000 people in the fundamentals of AI (definition, concrete applications, critical look, etc.). Aimed at the general public, this French-language training program, accessible to all free of charge on the OpenClassrooms website, will above all require curiosity and therefore no prerequisites. A challenge that we will take up together on #ObjectifIA.
Where does
this initiative come from?
This project is led by the Institut Montaigne (independent think tank) and OpenClassrooms (leader in online training) in partnership with the Abeona Foundation (association that defends equity in data sciences).
How does it
work?
The training takes the form of a free course in French, less than six hours long. It includes a series of videos and interactive exercises.
In concrete terms,
the course will allow:
> identify the applications of artificial intelligence already present in everyday life (social networks, e-commerce...)
> to raise awareness on issues related to privacy or data bias (if AI is watching us, who is watching AI?)
> to identify the opportunities offered by AI (health, transport, environment);
and many other issues!
