L’utilisation des données de vie réelle en oncologie est un véritable enjeu tant pour la recherche et le développement que pour le parcours patient , néanmoins son plein potentiel n’est actuellement pas exploité. En oncologie, le cancer s’avère être biologiquement complexe et génétiquement hétérogène, rendant les moyens de traitement à disposition du patient inadéquats. Ainsi, Comment les données de vie réelle en oncologie favorisent-elles le développement d’une médecine de précision ?

Bien que l'utilité des données de vie réelle ne soit plus à prouver, plusieurs problèmes restent à résoudre tout au long du cycle de vie de la donnée (la collecte, l’analyse, le stockage, le partage). Un enjeu majeur réside dans l’évaluation et l’amélioration de la qualité des données afin de garantir une fiabilité des analyses et des algorithmes développés sur ces bases. Dans cette optique, Pfizer, Kynapse et AI for Health souhaitent mettre à profit l’innovation et l’intelligence collective autour d’une problématique centrale : Comment améliorer la qualité des données de vie réelle ?

Au sein d’une chaîne de valeur pharmaceutique toujours plus complexe, longue et coûteuse, l’organisation des études cliniques est elle-même devenue un chaînon essentiel à repenser dans son ensemble à la lumière de l’innovation technologique. Avec le soutien de Microsoft, l'atelier du 15 février en intelligence collective a réuni les acteurs clés de l'écosystème (associations de patients, chercheurs, entrepreneurs, industriels, académiques et institutionnels) avec l'objectif de remettre le patient au centre des priorités au sein des essais cliniques, tout en prenant en considération les enjeux autour du management de la donnée.
