Description
The implementation of the GDPR in 2018 has impacted the data processing market and in some contexts prevents the use of potentially useful data for the common good. The year 2020 has also seen a tightening of data transfers to the US following the invalidation of the Privacy Shield by the Schremps II case.
In order to secure and facilitate data exchanges in terms of speed and legality, OCTOPIZE transforms personal data into synthetic data: avatars. Avatars are no longer considered as personal data under the RGPD. Thus, they allow to accelerate and facilitate data transfers outside the EU while respecting the privacy of individuals and ensuring a preservation of the statistical qualities of the original data.
As avatars are anonymous according to the CNIL, they can be shared with a trusted third party or distributed on a larger scale with parameters adapted to this use.
