Javier is leading The InnerEye Project in the Healthcare Intelligence group at Microsoft Research Cambridge. His research focuses on human-centered machine learning for healthcare and medical imaging. In the past, he has led the engineering for the Healthcare Intelligence group, shipped what-dog, and was a founder of the first big data platform on Azure for Skype.
